Desde los comienzos del cuplé y hasta la canción de festival, aquello que canta un cantante español y el modo en que lo canta es lo que mejor ha definido el concepto de canción española. A esto se suman los espacios donde esta canción ha sido performada, que han mantenido una especie de denominación de origen para la canción española que se verá alterada a mediados del siglo XX por la aparición de los nuevos espacios cosmopolitas de la cultura juvenil y los festivales de la canción. Este texto indaga la forma en que el cosmopolitismo de los años sesenta puede haber afectado la identidad de la canción española que, despojada de sus contextos originales de enunciación, debía compartir espacios con canciones de procedencia diversa y hacerse ligera.||From the beginnings of the cuplé to the festival song, what a Spanish singer sings and how he sings it is what has best defined the concept of Spanish song. Added to this are the spaces where this song has been performed, which have maintained a kind of denomination of origin for the Spanish song that will be altered in the middle of the 20th century by the emergence of new cosmopolitan spaces within youth culture and the song festivals. This text examines how the cosmopolitanism of the 1960s may have influenced the identity of Spanish song, which, stripped of its original contexts of enunciation, had to share spaces with songs of diverse origins and become light music.
