This study reports interrelationships between the teaching experience in the COVID-19 pandemic and the emotions of a language teacher based on Applied Linguistics studies. The research methodology is qualitative, based on narrative inquiry and content analysis. Results indicate emotions of sadness and frustration regarding the lack of institutional support, the overload of activities with digital technologies, and the lack of social recognition for the work performed. The sudden changes in the teacher's life indicate to us greater uneasiness at work. We argue in favor of the role of reflection on emotions in language teacher education as an aid in dealing with a scenario of a profession immersed in a social life in crisis. The study reiterates the need to insert digital technologies and reflection about emotions in language teacher education.||Este trabalho reporta as inter-relações entre a experiência de ensino na pandemia de COVID-19 e as emoções de uma professora de línguas à luz de estudos da Linguística Aplicada. A metodologia é qualitativa e baseada na Pesquisa Narrativa com análise de conteúdo. Os resultados indicam emoções de tristeza e frustração em relação à falta de apoio institucional, à sobrecarga de atividades com tecnologias digitais e à ausência de reconhecimento social pelo trabalho desempenhado. As mudanças repentinas na vida da docente nos indicam um agravamento do mal-estar no trabalho. Argumentamos em favor do papel da reflexão sobre as emoções na vida docente como auxiliar na lide com um cenário de uma profissão imersa em uma vida social em crise. O estudo reitera a necessidade de inserirmos as tecnologias digitais e a reflexão sobre as emoções na formação de professores de línguas.
