O presente artigo tem como intuito trilhar uma jornada sobre os estereótipos destinados às cientistas mulheres no cinema de ficção científica hollywoodiano fundamentado nos estudos da pesquisadora Eva Flicker (2003). Com base nas teóricas feministas do cinema e da ciência, despertas em meados da década de 1970, particularmente nos Estados Unidos e na Europa, há o objetivo de refletir como ocorre a exposição cinematográfica de cientistas e se elas são vinculadas a estereótipos negativos, se são vistas como inferiores quando comparadas aos cientistas homens, ou até mesmo se são ouvidas por seus pares e pela sociedade. A partir disso, busca-se destacar o modo de representação da personagem Dra. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock), do filme Gravidade, dirigido pelo mexicano Alfonso Cuarón e lançado em 2013, para verificar a ocorrência ou não de tais estereótipos. A escolha por tal filme justifica-se por ser uma obra laureada com sete prêmios no Oscar 2014, e protagonizada por mais de uma hora de duração por apenas uma mulher profissional da ciência, sozinha no espaço.||This article aims to follow a journey about the stereotypes aimed at female scientists in Hollywood Science Fiction cinema through the studies of the researcher Eva Flicker (2003). Based on feminist theorists of cinema and science, awakened in the mid-1970s, particularly in the United States and Europe, the study aims to reflect on how the cinematographic representations of female scientist occurs and whether they are linked to negative stereotypes, whether they are seen as inferior when compared to male scientists, or even if they are listened to by their peers and society. From this, we seek to highlight the way of representing the character Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock), from the film Gravity, directed by Alfonso Cuarón and released in 2013, to verify the occurrence or not of such stereotypes. The choice for this film is justified because it was a work that won seven awards at the 2014 Oscars, and starred for more than an hour by just one female science professional, alone in the space.
