Through an analysis of the short stories in the book Ninguém matou Suhura by the writer Lília Momplé, this study aims to investigate the relationship between the fictional narratives produced by the author and the historical representation of the acts narrated therein. This research aims, by delving into the concepts proposed by researchers of colonial periods, to develop the thesis that there is a need for the colony to hide the truth of the facts, seeking to maintain a polished and clear image of the colonial process. To this end, based on thinkers such as Bakhtin, Aristotle and Lukács, we will examine how Momplé's work follows the inverted flow of this need, using ethics as a compositional element of the narrative to configure the perspective that best allows for a non-Western view that is committed to the history of her homeland. ||O presente estudo busca, através da análise dos contos presente na obra Ninguém matou Suhura, de Lília Momplé, investigar a relação existente entre as narrativas ficcionais produzidas pela autora e a representação histórica dos atos ali narrados. Essa investigação visa, por meio do aprofundamento nos conceitos propostos por pesquisadores dos períodos coloniais, desenvolver a tese de que existe uma necessidade da colônia em ocultar a veracidade dos fatos, buscando manter a imagem polida e límpida do processo colonial. Com esse objetivo, apoiados em pensadores como Bakhtin, Aristóteles e Lukács, examinaremos como a obra de Momplé segue o fluxo invertido dessa necessidade, utilizando-se da ética como elemento composicional da narrativa para configurar a ótica que melhor permite uma visão não ocidental e comprometida com a história de sua terra natal.
