This article aims to present a research situation developed in 2023 as part of a thesis that seeks to articulate the concepts/categories of geographical science with the trajectories of women elected to elective office. I have tried to demonstrate the importance of fieldwork as a theoretical-practical concept that (re)direct studies in geography and reflective situations related to feminist critical phenomenologies. The work was carried out in the city of Santa Maria (RS) through the following stages: analysis of the spatial organization of the City Council, interviews with female councillors and reflections on the spatialization of the votes of women elected in the city. The results showed the importance of the researcher thinking of herself/himself as a body that has specificities, revealing or not limitations in the act of research and situationalities of female existence related to Brazilian politics.||O presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar uma situação de pesquisa desenvolvida em 2023, como parte integrante de uma tese que busca articular os conceitos/ categorias da ciência geográfica com as trajetórias de mulheres eleitas para cargos eletivos. Procurei demonstrar a importância do trabalho de campo como um conceito teórico-prático que (re)orienta estudos na Geografia e situações reflexivas relacionadas às fenomenologias críticas feministas. O trabalho foi realizado na cidade de Santa Maria (RS) através das seguintes etapas: análise da organização espacial da Câmara Municipal, entrevistas com vereadoras e reflexões sobre a espacialização dos votos das mulheres eleitas na cidade. Os resultados indicaram a importância do/a pesquisador/pesquisadora pensar em si como um corpo que apresenta especificidades, revelando ou não limitações no ato da pesquisa e situacionalidades da existência feminina relacionadas à política brasileira.
