This article aims to present linguistic policies aimed at indigenous languages in the states that make up the Western Amazon, namely: Acre, Amazonas, Roraima and Rondônia. To this end, the article explains what the language policy category is through the theoretical contribution of Calvet (2007), Lagares (2018), Neves (2023), among others. We then propose the presentation and discussion of the existing language policies in each state. The methodology used was qualitative, through documentary and bibliographical research, and the corpus analyzed in the work consists of three state laws, two municipal laws, three institutional resolutions and a national decree, the result of a virtual search carried out in the first half of 2024. It was concluded that, despite state, municipal and university initiatives in the public sphere, whether broad or less comprehensive, there is still a path to be taken with regard to the appreciation and promotion of indigenous languages in this territory.
||O presente artigo tem por objetivo fazer uma exposição das políticas linguísticas voltadas para as línguas indígenas existentes nos estados que compõem a Amazônia Ocidental, sendo eles: Acre, Amazonas, Roraima e Rondônia. Para tanto, o artigo expõe o que é a categoria políticas linguísticas por meio do aporte teórico de Calvet (2007), Lagares (2018), Neves (2023), dentre outros. Em seguida propomos a exposição e a discussão das políticas linguísticas existentes em cada estado. A metodologia utilizada foi a qualitativa, por meio de pesquisa documental e bibliográfica, e o corpus analisado no trabalho está constituído de três leis estaduais, duas leis municipais, três resoluções institucionais e um decreto nacional, resultado de busca virtual realizada no primeiro semestre de 2024. Concluiu-se que, apesar das iniciativas estaduais, municipais e por parte de universidades da esfera pública, seja de forma ampla ou menos abrangente, ainda existe um caminho a ser percorrido no que diz respeito à valorização e à promoção das línguas indígenas nesse território.
