This article aiming to present the theoretical conceptions of Nicolau Machiavelli, Thomas Hobbes and Max Weber regarding themes linked to the nature of political power, the role of the people in politics, the best form of government, among others, focusing on issues related to creation and maintenance of the State and forms of government regimes. The choice for the three mentioned is due to the relevance of the discussions raised and scientific contributions provided, in addition, the authors have lived and witnessed transitions of centuries and are also of different nationalities, therefore generating a different parameter between them, be it historical or sociopolitical. A review and analysis of scientific texts taken from books and works such as articles published in journals in the last five years was carried out on research platforms available through electronic means of access. Finally, we sought to establish parallels and distinctions between the three regarding the subjects discussed.||O presente artigo tem com objetivo de apresentar as concepções teóricas de Nicolau Maquiavel, Thomas Hobbes e Max Weber quanto a temas vinculados à natureza do poder político, o papel do povo na política, a melhor forma de governo, dentre outros, com foco aos assuntos relacionados à criação e manutenção do Estado e às formas de regimes de governo. A escolha pelos três citados se dá pela relevância das discussões levantadas e contribuições científicas propiciadas, além disso, os autores viveram e presenciaram transições de séculos e, também, são de nacionalidades diferentes, gerando, portanto, um parâmetro diferente entre eles, seja ele histórico ou sociopolítico. Foi feita uma revisão e análise de textos científicos retirados de livros e trabalhos como artigos publicados em periódicos nos últimos cinco anos nas plataformas de pesquisa disponíveis por meios eletrônicos de acesso. Por fim, procurou-se estabelecer os paralelos e distinções entre os três acerca dos assuntos tratados.
