This article aims to identify how the theory of computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) is based on the constructivist theory of Jean Piaget and the socio-constructivist theory of Lev Vygotsky, in addition to its relationship with other theoretical contributions. These theories highlight the importance of social interaction in the learning process. To this end, understanding the interrelationships of these theories is fundamental so that teachers in basic education and higher education can create and incorporate constructivist activities into their teaching strategies, integrating the use of computational resources to promote collaborative learning among students, way to reach the higher cognitive domains of Bloom's taxonomy in the implementation of CSCL. Finally, the article addresses the potential application of CSCL with the metaverse, a virtual learning environment, highlighting experiments where students can interact, collaborating, creating and learning.||O presente artigo visa identificar como a teoria da aprendizagem colaborativa apoiada por computador (CSCL) é fundamentada pela teoria construtivista de Jean Piaget e sócio-construtivista de Lev Vygotsky, além de sua relação com outras contribuições teóricas. Essas teorias salientam a importância da interação social no processo de aprendizagem. Para tanto, compreender as inter-relações dessas teorias é fundamental para que os professores da educação básica e ensino superior possam criar e incorporar atividades construtivistas às suas estratégias de ensino, integrando o uso de recursos computacionais para promover a aprendizagem colaborativa entre os alunos, de maneira a atingir os domínios cognitivos superiores da taxonomia de Bloom na implementação da CSCL. Por fim, o artigo aborda o potencial de aplicação da CSCL com o metaverso, um ambiente virtual de aprendizado, destacando experimentos onde os alunos podem interagir colaborando, criando e aprendendo.
