The condition of subjection and revolt experienced by the female self throughout history takes shape in Helena Parente Cunha's narrative. Thus, this article addresses these conditions experienced by the multiple faces of the woman in front of the mirror: the one who writes me and the one who says me. In order to understand this condition imposed on women, the book The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir (1991) is used as a basis, starting with the married woman and the independent woman. By presenting literature written by women, we try to understand how the literary scene changed in terms of women's views when female authors began to publish. The faces of women presents how the Parentean narrative constructs women in their subjection and revolt. And finally, some considerations about Mulher no Espelho show the presence of other peripheral groups within Helena Parente Cunha's narrative.||A condição de sujeição e revolta vivida pelo eu feminino ao longo da história toma corpo na narrativa de Helena Parente Cunha. Assim, este artigo aborda essas condições vividas pelas múltiplas faces da mulher diante do espelho: aquela que me escreve e aquela que diz eu. Para entender um pouco dessa condição imposta à mulher, toma-se como fundamentação o livro O segundo sexo, de Simone de Beauvoir (1991), a partir da mulher casada e da mulher independente. Ao se apresentar a literatura de autoria feminina, tenta-se entender como o cenário literário mudou, no que corresponde à visão da mulher, quando autoras começaram a publicar. Nas faces da mulher, apresenta-se como a narrativa parenteana constrói a mulher na sua sujeição e revolta. E, por fim, algumas considerações sobre mulher no espelho mostram a presença de outros grupos periféricos dentro da narrativa de Helena Parente Cunha.
