This article aims to discuss some possibilities of uses of judicial sources in studies that use the methodological perspective of Italian microhistory. To this end, the authors argue that although correct, the approach that examines criminal cases only as possible revelators of a particular social context from the information provided by defendants, victims, judges, lawyers and clerks is insufficient. Such documentation should also be understood as a medium that has also produced contexts, spaces and jurisdictions from the actions of certain social actors. In short, such an approach reveals that such sources were not just a simple reflection of reality, but that they should be seen as an attempt to modify it or even to create it.||O presente artigo tem como objetivo discutir algumas possibilidades de usos das fontes judiciais em estudos que utilizam a perspectiva metodológica da micro-história italiana. Para tal, os autores argumentam que apesar de correta, é insuficiente a abordagem que examina os processos criminais apenas como possíveis reveladores de um determinado contexto social a partir das informações fornecidas por réus, vítimas, juízes, advogados e escrivães. Tal documentação também deve ser entendida como um meio que também produziu contextos, espaços e jurisdições a partir das ações determinados atores sociais. Em suma, tal abordagem revela que tais fontes não eram apenas um simples reflexo da realidade, mas que devem ser vistas como uma tentativa de modificá-la ou mesmo de criá-la.
